Corn chowdah

Had lunch with one of my sorors on Sunday afternoon, we hit up panera bread and i ordered a turkey sandwich on focaccia bread with summer corn chowder and a baguette, it was fantastic.


We went shopping later because we had a chapter picture, spending money was super fun but ended up spending $80! More than i bargained for..
Didn't hit up the farmer's market this weekend, needed a break and also i didn't really have much to buy... went to a quinceanera this weekend (15th bday) and had soo much fun, danced the entire night!


*note to me: after having a plate of barbacoa and carne en mole with rice and beans my stomach did not accept it so well, think i had some indigestion for a lil bit.. * I may be getting used to organic foods.. those foods were heavy.*


However did end up dancing soo much that i'm pretty sure i burned most of it up. The sweat was pretty gross..

Knee bummer

I went to the doctor yesterday, looks like my knee is just being dumb.. the doc told me to not play tennis for 4 weeks and prescribed some anti-inflammatory pills. I hate medicine..
She recommended low impact exercise such as swimming and walking. Guess i'll have to give that a shot.

Haven't updated much on the food front, I keep forgetting to take my memory card out of my computer after uploading pix! But i did find this awesome anti-oxidant trail mix that has dried cranberries, almonds, raisins and pieces of dark chocolate .. it is delish!

Did stroll practice last night with the girls, tried not to jostle my knee too much after icing it (the doc also gave me a huge ice pack!)

So much for running (at least for a while) looks like the water will be my best friend for the next few weeks! I'll let you know how it goes..

quick fix

Got back into my exercise routine today with an hour and a half of intense tennis. I think i did something to my knee because it really hurt today. I hope its nothing too serious, but i'm getting it checked out anyways.

Breakfast consisted of oatmeal and a banana, then lunch at work was a salad, a cup of noodles and a ham/turkey sandwich on honey whole wheat bread.
Since i had a match in Red Oak i took some food on the go like a medium size apple and these great little vegetable TLC crackers...



It was super hot outside so i probably doubled the sweating.. ew. Then on my way back home my side mirror got all disconnected from the few threads of duct tape holding it in place, so i had to stop in the middle of the highway and bust out my duct tape to fix it.. i took a few neat pics..

Laziness is hard to shake off

I completely forgot my memory card inside the computer this weekend so i don't really have any pictures but i did learn that laziness was abundant this weekend and you probably don't want to know everything i ate!

Since friday i had slipped with my workout, i decided to stay home and chill with my parents instead and do some laundry.. then on Saturday i went to the farmers market and that was fun as always.. however didn't do any excercise then either.. instead i went to whole foods bought groceries (happy face) and bought a whole pizza for my sisters and my sisters boyfriend.. not to mention while at whole foods we bought some mocha gelato (which was to die for btw) and my lil sis bought a "healthy" choco chip cookie.. ya right..

Went into lazy mode watched a movie, ate and then later that night went to another movie at the dollar theater.. kudos to me i didn't buy anything there but i did eat 2 slices of pizza


and today was the worst! I slept until 2pm (granted i didn't go to sleep till 3am) but i felt soo tired and horrible.. i ate yogurt when i woke up (wouldn't call it breakfast) and later made an omelet.

I had told one of my sorority sisters i'd meet up with her to play tennis and so i did around 730pm.. did about an hour but again i was feeling so de-energized.

I wonder if it is because i didn't have a consistent work out.. all week i felt fine until the wknd.. how horrible! so afterwards i stopped at walmart and bought a few things then came home to clean before my roomie got back..

I was pumped so i went to the apt gym for a good 30 minutes of cardio and 15 minutes of weights.. now i'm here blogging even though its 230 in the morning.. but i feel good..

Prepped some salad for the week.. here's a pic of my fridge! I know not uber exciting or anything.. but that's the only pic i managed to get.. haha. Time for a new week.. bring it
